Crystal Ruiz took office in 2012 when San Jacinto was facing a financial crisis, with a General Fund of $25 million and predictions of bankruptcy within four years, She collaborated closely with the city council and staff to sign the city’s first zero-deficit budget. Today, the General Fund stands at over $47 million, providing a stable financial foundation for the city.
Public Safety:
Crystal Ruiz, a mother of four, has always prioritized public safety. When she started, San Jacinto had only 30 deputies. She worked hard to double that number to 61, making the community safer for all residents.
Economic Development and Job Creation:
Crystal Ruiz has been instrumental in attracting new businesses to San Jacinto, approving projects that brought companies like Starbucks, Aldi, and Dunkin’ Donuts to the community, she will continue to create more jobs and provide diverse options for residents.
